Microlife has collaborated closely with primary care physicians to develop a systematic procedure for in-office and out-of-office blood pressure measurements.

During the diagnosis phase, in-office measurements are taken using the WatchBP Office device during the first and follow-up visit.  Between the first and follow-up visits, out-of-office measurements are collected by the patient using either the WatchBP O3 or the WatchBP Home device.  Blood pressure data from these three unique measurement periods are combined with the help of WatchBP Analyzer to produce a comprehensive blood pressure assessment.

With treatment initiated, the WatchBP Office device continues to serve in the collection of important blood pressure measurements with each office visit.  This data is again combined with data collected using the WatchBP Home device or in some cases the WatchBP 03 ambulatory device.  With data from both in-office and out-of-office measurements, accurate and reliable monitoring can be accomplished.  This process enables the patient to be an active participant of the care process and aids the physician in adjusting treatment.

Once patient hypertension is controlled, WatchBP Home can serve as an important tool for accurately monitoring patient blood pressure data between office visits.
